Less than two weeks on from a huge fire which ravaged the Kosher Kingdom branch in Golders Green, the iconic kosher supermarket is opening a new store in Edgware.
News of a second branch was initially announced in the spring, and the shop will open to the public next Tuesday, June 9.
A video on their Instagram account showed its shelves already mostly full with fan favourites like pickles, wine and sweets, with staff hard at work filling the remaining gaps.
The post said: “We look forward to seeing you there and serving the local community with all your favourite kosher products!”
After the fire last week, which the Met Police said was “not suspicious” and is thought to have been caused by an electrical fault, Kosher Kingdom thanked the London Fire Brigade and the Met Police for their “outstanding response and tireless effort”.
“We are also incredibly grateful for the many messages, offers of assistance, and kind words we have received from customers, friends, and members of the community,” they continued. “The support has been truly overwhelming and means a great deal to us.
“We understand the inconvenience this situation has caused and are trying to put a short-term solution in place while progressing with restoring Kosher Kingdom once again.”
