Jewish educational the Jewish Learning Exchange – fondly known as the JLE – has officially relaunched as Olami UK.
The centre, in north-west London, will continue to be run under the leadership of Rabbi Benjy Morgan, CEO of the JLE, and Rabbi Amrom Nemeth, the JLE’s senior education director, “delivering outstanding programming, combining depth of learning with vibrant community experiences”, said a spokesperson for Olami UK.
Olami UK will join a network of Olami centres in over 100 cities and nearly 30 countries.
Rabbi Morgan said that becoming part of an international organisation “marks a significant step forward in our mission to engage, inspire, and support Jewish young adults across the UK”.
Rabbi Morgan has also been appointed the global head of newly launched Olami X, which aims to strengthen connections between the different Olami branches by running international events, holding immersive Shabbat experiences and offering leadership opportunities.
Rabbi Morgan, who will continue to be based in London, said: “For the first time, young Jews will be able to engage not only within their local communities, but as part of a truly global ecosystem of belonging, connecting with thousands of peers worldwide.”
Rabbi Avi Cassel, executive vice president of Olami and managing director of North America and English-speaking countries, said: "We have watched Rabbi Benjy Morgan build JLE into something truly exceptional over the past decade – a model of excellence in engaging and inspiring young Jewish adults.
