Geez Park Rangers turned in their best performance of the season on Sunday morning as they thrashed Maccabi GB Southern League Premier Division (MGBSFL) title hopefuls Hendon United Sports Club 7-2.
In claiming just their fifth league win of the season – they’ve lost their other five – they also denied Hendon the chance to end the year top of the table, while giving them renewed hope for the second half of the campaign.
A second half hat-trick from Daniel Rinkoff did most of the damage – at least on the goalscoring front, with Nathan Rosenthal, Sam Morris, Jayden Tomlinson and Tyler Smith also all getting on the scoresheet.
Speaking about their performance, assistant manager Max Diamond said: “It was definitely our best of the season given we only had 12 players available and many playing out of position and in unfamiliar roles.
“Overall, it was a great performance, to come away from Hendon with the win, we had too much energy for them today and in beating them, secured our third consecutive win in a year where we have struggled for consistency.”
The win pushed them into the top-four of the table, though they have played a game more than the three sides above them, meaning they are switching their attention elsewhere and hopefully repeating history. Diamond added: “The league is very competitive this season and we hope to continue our winning form, however our main focus is on both cups, which we won back in 2024 and would love to emulate again this season.”
Stoke Salmon remain two points clear at the top of the table after they came away from Athletico Bears with a 4-0 win. HMH join Hendon on 19 points in joint-second spot as they scored seven goals of their own, winning 7-0 at Redbridge Jewish Care A. Ethan Krell scored a hat-trick, Saul Norton scored twice, with Charlie Ezra and Adam Abadi completing the rout.
In Division One, Sukkotingham Forest increased their lead at the top of the table to ten points as two goals from Dillon Caine helped them to a 3-1 win at Hampstead Ducks. Eytan Miller scored their third goal, with manager Sam Nagioff saying: “It was a great performance and comeback from the lads after a poor first half.” Zachary Collins scored for The Ducks.
Two goals in two second half minutes from Ben Nothman – his first for the club – and Sam Holden saw 40 Year Wanderers record a 2-0 home win over Rapid Vienna, the victory seeing them leapfrog Vienna to finish the day in fourth spot in the table.
Manager Sam Anderson said: “The boys were brilliant. Bar the first 10 minutes, the game was never not in our control. We dominated them across the pitch and I couldn’t be prouder of my team’s performance, it was a massive three points”.
Bochur Juniors ended their six-game losing streak to claim their second league win of the season, beating Mill Hill Minyan 3-1. Yedidya Solomon, Kalmi Springer and man-of-the-match Zack Mason scored the goals, with manager Joel Ucko saying: “I’m absolutely delighted for the lads. We were down to the bare bones, had players missing everywhere, and lads stepping in out of position, but the attitude was first class. It would have been very easy to come here feeling sorry for ourselves with excuses ready to go, but there was none of that. They rolled their sleeves up, they got on with it, and they put in a proper shift.

The last few months have been really tough, there is no getting away from it. When you’ve been on a run like we have confidence takes a hit and you have to find a way to stop the rot. Today we went back to basics. We were organised, compact, won our duels and defended our box with real pride. It was a proper away performance. Not always pretty, but professional, disciplined, and full of character. Everyone put a shift in for the team, everyone did their job and that’s what you need when you are going through a tough spell.
“To a man they were outstanding. We’ve got that winning feeling back and it tastes very sweet, but it is only one result. The challenge now is to build on it, back it up, and take this momentum into 2026.”
The one game in Division Two ended in a share of the spoils as Chopped Villa and Schlepfield Wednesday played out a 2-2 draw. Marc Smith scored twice for Villa, Louis Flitterman and Sol Dobrin replied for Wednesday.
Scrabble moved joint-top of the Maccabi Masters Football League as Oli Kenner’s 80th minute winner proved to be the difference in their 1-0 win at St John’s Wood Tigers. Elsewhere, Temple Fortune and Hendon Harriers shared the points in a 1-1 draw. Jonny Blain fired Fortune in front through a superb first half finish, before Ben Simons struck to earn the Harriers an away point.
