The former chairman of St John’s Wood synagogue, Keith Breslauer, has been appointed as an Honorary Colonel in the Royal Marines Reserve after receiving approval from His Majesty King Charles.

Breslauer, who is also a Managing Partner of the UK and pan-European property investment firm Patron Capital, is vice patron of the Royal Marines Charity (RMA-TRMC) and a long-standing supporter of the Royal Marines.

Last year, alongside serving soldiers and veterans, he kayaked 87.5 nautical miles across the Channel to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day to raise awareness of the Royal Marines Association.

Breslauer is the lead private sponsor of the RMA and since 2010 has raised over £6.5 million for the charity, with over £3.6 million directed to benevolent support. In 2023 alone, he and Patron Capital’s support helped over 2,700 individuals and offered support to over 25,000 association members.
