Former chair of St John’s Wood shul appointed Honorary Colonel in the Royal Marines Reserve

This extends to initiatives for wounded, sick and injured Royal Marines, including Rock2Recovery and Climb2Recovery programmes. Breslauer is also a founding sponsor of the Veteran Games and hosts veteran skiers at the annual Patron Capital’s company ski trip in Chamonix.

He is also involved in helping Royal Marine veterans adjust to life after service through mentorship programmes and veteran-led business start-ups.

The wider Royal Navy too is now looking to draw on Breslauer’s experience to introduce new mentoring processes and programmes to ensure service-leavers are supported in future careers and civilian life.

Breslauer said he was “immensely proud” to have received approval from the King to serve as an Honorary Colonel, which officially took effect on October 1 and will last for an initial three-year period.

“As a trustee for nine years, and more recently as vice patron of the RMA, I have been honoured to work to pay tribute to those who have served or continue to serve in our Armed Forces,” he said. “As Honorary Colonel, I will proudly support existing and spearhead new programmes that help the service people who give so much for us.”

Each year, including this November, Patron Capital hosts the RMA dinner at London’s Guildhall dedicated to supporting Royal Marines families. Last year, the dinner raised over £1 million.
