Masters athlete Roger Bruck broke another Great Britain record at the recent London Masters International “Road to Torun” meeting.
In fact, it was a case of double success for Jewish British athletes at the inaugural event, which was held as a warm-up for the forthcoming European Indoor Masters Championships in Poland.
Bruck, 86, broke his own British Indoor High Jump record in the Men's 85-90 age group for the fourth time in the last six months and is now eagerly anticipating the forthcoming outdoors season.
Also claiming gold at the event was 63-year-old Rosalind Zeffertt, who showed great early season form by winning gold in her specialist event, the pole vault.
The all-rounder, who like Bruck, represents Shaftesbury Harriers, has though decided not to compete in the forthcoming Championships in Torun, where she won bronze two years ago.
