Akiva and HJPS take the honours in Girls Yr 5-6 football contest

Hertsmere Jewish Primary School were one of two teams celebrating wins at Maccabi GB’s latest inter-school sports tournament. They and Aikva were both winners at the Year 5 and 6 Girls football competition.
Maccabi GB’s latest All Aboard-sponsored inter-school sports tournament saw Akiva and Hertsmere Jewish Primary School celebrate as they took the honours in the Year 5 and 6 Girls Football competition.
Thirty-three teams from 15 schools – bringing together a total of 275 players – took part in the event.
Watched on by 100 spectators, Akiva Red (pictured top) beat Wolfson Hillel Red 2-0 in the red final
HJPS Green (above) beat Akiva Green 3-0 in the final of the green event.
Maccabi GB’s School and Sports Coordinator Nathan Bloohn said: “It was brilliant to see such a high-quality tournament with so many players and schools taking part.”
