MATCHDAY 21 REVIEW

---------------------------

NOMINATIONS

MACCABI LONDON LIONS WHITE

Ollie Craig (GK) - stepped up after Dec Green pulled out at the 11th hour with sickness. Superb performance after two formidable weeks as a striker and midfielder! Mr Adaptable

Akiva Levin (CF) - experience meant nothing as the youngest Lions player led the line on his own against a strong defence, holding up the ball well and bringing Lions attacking players into the game time and again. Was crucial today

---------------------------

BAYERN MINCHA

Gavriel Nussbaum (CB) - arguably our most solid player in the second half of the season and was outstanding again today

Eli Davila (CDM) - after moving from CB to CDM in the second half, he was outstanding, winning every tackle and header in the middle

Jake Dayan (CM) - the returning skipper was playing through injury all game, such was the magnitude the match. He gave incredible work rate all game. His performance in the last 15 minutes as we were down to 10 men proved to us why he’s club captain

---------------------------

MILL HILL DONS

Josh Cinna (CB) - nominated by Bayern Mincha) - was outstanding for the Dons today and won every header. We may be putting in a bid for him over the summer!

---------------------------

LOS BLANCOS

Gideon Rabstein (GK) – sweeping like Lloris, distributing like Ederson, reacting like De Gea were all quotes heard from the terraces, his all-round play calmed Blancos and nullified Scrabbles threats setting the foundations for this victory

Josh Cohen (CM) – Blancos’s Kante, his all-round energy and competitiveness controlled the game for Blancos

Josh Aziz (CM) – his wedding has left him sidelined for two months, the wife is clearly a top influence as Aziz rolled back the years spreading the play, four goals were scored and none conceded during the minutes Aziz’s played

Avi Kestenbaum (St) – Blancos’s answer to Shane Long, tirelessly worked the channels, won every header and chipped in with goal

Elliot Meslawy (RM) – after signing a new contract for Arsenal midweek, Ozil turned up at Capital City Academy providing constant supply and opportunities to those around him

---------------------------

REAL HENDON

Martin Smulovitch & Dorron Shooter (D) - particularly excellent performances by the centre-back pairing, dealing with the Rory Delap-esque long-throws of the opposition

---------------------------

NORTH LONDON RAIDERS A

Adam Zaidman (GK) - well-deserved clean sheet. Great distribution and made a good save in the first half to keep the score 1-0

Jordan Abrahamson (RB) - been phenomenal since arriving at the club from the USA. Didn’t put a foot wrong and always had the better of whoever Hendon put up against him

David Rhodes & Jonny Kay (CB) - controlled the back-line excellently, put their bodies on the line and used the ball effectively when in possession

Joe Cohen (LB) - started wide left but had to drop in to the defence. Was structured, disciplined and won all his personal battles

Ben Joseph (CM) - finesse, execution as well as fight and aggression. Still one of the best creative midfielders in the league and proved it today

Adam Joselyn (CM) - Covered every inch of the pitch. Complete all-round performance

Josh Bharier (RM) - has been missed so much and has proven that he’s a huge asset to the side now he’s fit. Great game capped off with a well-deserved goal

Jordan Nathan (LM) - endless running and terrorised the Hendon defence from the minute he stepped on the pitch. His pace is electric and plays with such a wise head on young shoulders

Josh Goldstein (S) - came on after 20 minutes and made an immediate impact scoring the opener. Worked the front line excellently and caused constant problems. Did a double step-over around Russ for his second and was unlucky not to complete his hat-trick

---------------------------

HERTSWOOD VALE

Alex Trup (CB) - an excellent performance on only his second appearance for the club. Marshalled the back four throughout the 90 minutes, winning header after header to limit SHP to very few chances

- Danny Feuer (CB) - alongside Alex, Danny was absolutely key to today's win. Took on a role to man-mark Aron Gale, one of the league's top scorers and did it exceptionally. A constant thorn in Aron's side, limiting him to half-chances throughout

- Josh Wood (CM) - although never the loudest on the pitch, Woody has constantly lead the side this season through exceptional performances week in and week out. Built on last week's assist with a goal of the highest quality today to give us a much needed equaliser at a vital time. Defensively, he was putting challenges in left, right and centre to win back possession time after time

- Bob Caplin (Referee) - a good performance from the man in black in a game of more arguments than chances. Consistent throughout - all you can ask from a referee

---------------------------

OAKWOOD A

Brad Wine (M) - superb and pulled the team through to earn a point against Lions White

---------------------------

NORTH LONDON RAIDERS B

Rob Blackman (CM) - with good reason Rob feels he probably hasn't had the praise he deserves in recent weeks and he made it impossible for Doron Salomon not to nominate him today. He played wing back, centre back and ultimately was hugely influential at CM. His three assists today take him to six in our last five games

David Esterkin (CM) - once again he set the tempo for team. When he presses and chases everything down the rest of the team go with him. In recent weeks he's added goals and assists and is in outstanding form

Jake Gilbert (CF) - his hat-trick was a lesson in finishing but Jake did plenty of work off the ball for the team too. He played from the left in the second half and was a nightmare for the opposition right-back to pick up. He's into double figures for the season now and has seven in his last four games

David Dinkin (CF) - ended a run of consecutive goal-scoring games but this was arguably his best performance for Raiders this season. He's fit, sharp and hugely influential in most of Raiders' attacking play. Today was a complete performance, all that was missing was a goal

Andy Myerson (referee) - didn't have too many big decisions to make but controlled the game well and was tough but fair with players on both teams

---------------------------

MACCABI LONDON LIONS BLUE

Jono Gaon (LM) - tireless performance and rewarded with two well-taken goals

---------------------------

SCRABBLE FC

Adam Solomons (GK) - again, rolled back the years with some great saves

Oli Richardson (LB) - strong in the tackle and always a danger coming forward

Zac Summerfield (S) - some rapid runs at the Blancos defence which deserved a goal or two

Josh Pugh (M) - captain again led the side superbly and got on the scoresheet

Zak McLeod (M) - back to his best with some quality passes from all over the field

Ben Portnoi (M/W) - playing in his second game for the club, was a constant threat down the right wing and got on the scoresheet just before the final whistle

---------------------------

TEMPLE FORTUNE B

James Phillips (RB) – works his backside off every Sunday and gives everything for the team. He dominated the right flank and didn’t give the Catford winger a sniff. Huge performance

Gab Saul (CM) – a beast in the middle of the park, winning every 50/50 and topped the performance off with a well-taken goal

---------------------------

FAITHFOLD A

Johny Gahan (CB) - was absolutely dominant. Never gave Redbridge time to settle, won everything and put his body on the line time and time again

Josh Wagner (CB) - Johnny’s partner and slightly edged him for MOM. Also won all of his battles but his classy goal is what edges him slightly ahead
