The Oakwood A hot-shot capped an excellent first season with Oakwood, forming a terrific partnership alongside Josh Cuby in a team that finished as runners-up in the Cyril Anekstein Cup and third in the Premier Division.

Bharier, a 26-year-old accountant from Edgware, scored 20 goals in all competitions in his first season with Oakwood A, who finished runners-up in the Cyril Anekstein Cup and third in the Premier Division.

Asked how he felt about being recognised as the top player in the Maccabi League, Bharier responded: “It’s not bad for a journeyman who has played at a different club every season.”

He described the top-flight as being “a tough standard” in a campaign where he scored three hat-tricks. He said: “I’d like to thank all my team-mates for helping me win this special award, especially Josh Cuby who provided lots of assists.

“Hopefully I can help Oakwood win the league title or a cup next season.”

HMH goal king Oscar Wagner collected the league's Young Player of the Year accolade after helping the sky blues finish runners-up in the top-flight and scoring twice in the Peter Morrison Trophy final, in which HMH beat Haroldeans 4-1.

Wagner scored 22 goals in all competitions. He told JC Sport: "I'm overwhelmed to have been handed this award as voted for by fellow players. It’s a genuine honour.

"The standard of football played throughout the divisions demands a lot from you and it has been their quality which has pushed both myself and the rest of the HMH team to constantly be at our best.

"Lastly, I would like to share this award with my teammates. Each and every one of them has been a pleasure to play with and I look forward to doing it all again with them next season.

Double-winning Jordan Sapler of Hendon United Sports was named manager of the year. Sapler told JC Sport: “It’s nice to be recognised but I couldn’t have done it without the boys,” he said.

"There was further success for Hendon who also won the Sportsmanship/Turnout award. Sapler said: “We didn’t forfeit one game across the season and got our rewards for playing football the right way and never looking to get a rival player sent off.”

Sapler went on to say: “Our target for next season is to win the treble. Had we not lost in Liverpool in the Peter Morrison Trophy, I don’t think many teams would’ve stopped us.”

Other individuals winners saw Bradley Gayer of Fairlop win the best player in Division One, while the Division Two prize went to Zack Neiman of SPEC FC.

FC Team's Richard Salmon won the Golden Boot as league top-scorer, while Sam Singer of Mill Hill Dons collected the Golden Gloves trophy.

There was also success for Jewdinese, with Jake Erlich receiving the Team Secretary award.

There was also a new prize on show, with HMH winning best social media.
