NOMINATIONS

STRAW HAT PIRATES

Ethan Mooney (CAM/CF) - added a lot of quality to our game in the final third, especially with such an outstanding goal and will be a a great asset for us going forward

Joel Newman (CB) - held his own and directed our defence incredibly. A huge asset to our new defence, and is a key player in our squad

Aron Gale (S) - the youngster signed from London Lions youth continues to impress going forward, scoring a great goal today however is always seen tracking back and putting himself on the line for the team

Saul Tiano (CB) - the latest member of the Tiano dynasty to join the Maccabi league, Tiano had solid game at CB.  A true example of a Straw Hat, coming with little Sunday league experience, and putting in 100% the whole game

--------------------------

FAIRLOP FC

Bradley Gayer & Matt Berkley (CM) - controlled the tempo of the game very well

--------------------------

HERTSWOOD VALE

Joni Hirschowitz (GK) - having recently returned from the army, Hirschowitz was in the form of his life on his debut, pulling off some notable diving saves to tip a number of shots around the post. If Bafana Bafana are looking for a new No. 1, they need not look much further.

Adrian Leibovitch (CDM) - Our vice-captain (and captain for the day) had one of the games of his life - winning possession back left, right and centre both in the air and on the ground. The number of times he was fouled gives an idea of how highly the opposition rated him

Harry Marlow (RM) - another debutant that shone against Fairlop. Produced a number of dazzling runs on the right side of midfield and played a peach of a through-ball to set up our goal. Defensively, he ensured that former MGBSFL player of the year Ryan Cole was kept quiet

--------------------------

CATFORD & BROMLEY MACCABI

Danny Yeshua (M) - a menace throughout and although didn't score looked great on the wing and will have a great season if he continues in the same way
