SMOUHA. Jeremy. The Weizmann Institute of Science is deeply saddened by the passing of Jeremy Smouha z”l. A valued member of the International Board, former Trustee of Weizmann UK, dedicated supporter and cherished friend. Jeremy’s wisdom, generosity, commitment and friendship touched so many within the Weizmann family. He will be greatly missed. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Sabine, Emily, David, Yael and the entire family. May his memory be a blessing.
BARONESS RAMSAY OF CARTVALE. (Meta). Peacefully on 28th May in her beloved Glasgow, aged 89. Margaret Mildred Ramsay, known as Meta, died with grace and dignity following a short illness. Funeral service at Clydebank Crematorium on 19th June, 2.30pm, to which all friends are invited. No flowers, but donations can be made to Margaret’s Final Campaign (glioblastoma cancer charity). Please wear something purple - Meta’s favourite colour. A memorial service will be held later this year in London.
CASTLE. Betty. Passed away on the first night of Shavuot in Los Angeles. She was 104 and she was a remarkable mother to Gary and myself. She moved to NY when we moved there in the 80s and then moved again to Beverly Hills when she was 90. Her life was her family. ROTHENBERG. Ruth (née Portrait). Died aged 85 on 30th May, much loved wife of David, sister of Judith, mother of Daniel, Sarah, Tamar and Deborah and grandmother of Noam, Eitan, Hillel, Sam, Alex, Hannah, Gilad, Reuben and Eloise; greatly missed by all who knew her.
