Guggenheim competition: The Chair Not Taken

articlemain

Zach Cohen is one of six Israeli artists competing for their short film to be shown at Manhattan's Guggenheim Museum next month.

Judges have shortlisted 125 finalists out of the more than 23,000 people from around the world with videos entered in the Guggenheim's YouTube Play contest.

The winners will be named on October 21, with the top 20 films going on display at the prestigious New York gallery.

Israel has the third highest number of contestants still in the running for the top spot.

Mr Cohen, an illustration student at the Shenkar School of Design and Engineering, described The Chair Not Taken as a "short tale about politicians, seats and struggles in a Parliament far-far away."
