CYRIL ANEKSTEIN CUP ROUND TWO
BLIZZARD STORM 1 FAITHFOLD A 4

Zuriel Solomon says the result rather than performance was all that matter after Premier Division Faithfold A came through a well-contested tie against Blizzard Storm.

Sam Reeves scored the pick of the goals as Premier Division Faithfold eased past Blizzard Storm of Division Two.

A double from Mike Pearson and one from Rocky Spitzer sealed the win.

Faithfold boss Zuriel Solomon told JC Sport: "We took a while to get going in the first half and were not in full gear scored just before half time to go in 1-0 up.

"We stepped up a gear in the second half and finished the game off. We were really down to the bare bones, had 11 men with even myself getting a full 90.

"These games are about getting through and I felt we were always in control. Blizzard Storm played well and had a few chances and deserved a goal for their efforts."

Blizzard boss Simon Linden was proud of his team's performance. "I was always confident we would give them a game of football, even with four or five players missing," he told JC Sport.

"I was delighted with our performance throughout the 90 - we worked hard with lots of discipline and on another day may have taken one of our first half chances and caused a upset in a game that was 0-0 until the last kick of the first half

"I have no complaints with the morning's work, play like that every week and we will get promotion."
