2016 Olympics hopeful Francesca Wall enjoyed success in two recent events.

Competing at the Harrogate Hydro, Wall, aged nine, took gold in her age group and broke the record for the highest points score in the competition's 10-year history. The performance took her up to level three, the highest for her age group, and she is now two levels away from Olympic qualification.

Wall followed this by participating at the ASA British Gas National Age Group Diving Competition in Southampton. She took gold in her favourite category, the three-metre springboard, and silver on the one-metre springboard in the nine-year and under category. Her performances saw her become the British Age Group Champion 2010 for 3m Springboard

Wall from Stanmore broke into the sport after being scouted out of almost 70,000 kids by Crystal Palace Diving Club nine months ago. Training four times a week, Wall is in the elite group which is for talented children who compete at the highest appropriate level, including international. The elite squad is run by three-time Olympian Chris Snode.
