articlemain

Ben Tyer hit four as Manchester Maccabi 3rd maintained their 100 per cent start to the season with a 4-2 win over Haroldeans.

After their opening day victory against Crumpsall, Maccabi continued their impressive run of form with hotshot Tyer stealing the show.

Not even Josh Silverberg's double could prevent Maccabi from making it six points from six as Haroldeans crashed to defeat in their first game of the season.

Elsewhere, South Manchester Sports Club 2nd made it two wins out of two with the 7-0 thrashing of Westdene 2nds.

Steve Satinoff scored a classy hat-trick, with Simon Mattison, Johnny Pressman, Jeremy Nivern and an own goal completing the scoring.

Westdene 1sts kept pace with the league leaders by claiming their second consecutive victory with a 4-1 win at Sporting JLGB.

Yossi Mann, Brett Howarth, Ben Rose and Peter Elliot were all on target for the visitors with JLGB grabbing a consolation through Uri Steinberg.

Republic of Mancunia bounced back from their nightmare opening day defeat with a 3-1 win over Crumpsall. After losing 6-0 to South Manchester Maccabi 2nds, Republic turned in a much improved performance with Mike Gastwirth, Oli Basger and Dave Eden all on the scoresheet.
