Treble is on for the Lions

articlemain

Two goals from Dominic Feldman kept alive London Maccabi Lions Under 14s' treble aspirations as they moved into the fourth round of the Watford Friendly League Challenge Cup with a 3-2 victory over Borehamwood Youth.

The Lions were indebted to keeper Jake Krais who kept his team in the tie with a penalty save.

Jack Davis hauled the Lions back on level terms and their fortunes improved when Feldman reacted sharply to smash home a rebound after his penalty had been saved.

Borehamwood drew level, again from the penalty spot, but Feldman ended a flowing three-man move by firing home the winner.

Lions manager Mitchell Freeman said: "The game featured some strange decisions, but the boys are good enough to just get on with things. Although this was not our best performance, it's another win."

Striker Joshua Burchhardt (2) and Jordan Aspis earned Pinner JFC a 3-1 win over league leaders VEP Knights in the WFL Under 14 Yellow Division.
