Shaftesbury Barnet Harrier George Grant, 13, took the Middlesex under-15 pole vault title in Mile End with a personal best of 2.50m.

Several Jewish athletes were in action at the Young Athletes League at Lea Valley Stadium. Harrow all-rounder Jamie Cohen, 13, recorded a high jump personal best of 1.45m, as well as a time of 5:09.4 in the 1,500m.

Shaftesbury Barnet middle distance runners Jessica Hurley, 12, and Natan Bloom, 13, both set PBs, Hurley recording 2:35.7 for 800m and Bloom achieving 4:53.9 for 1,500m. Team-mate Leo Kaye opened his season with 23.9 for 200m, a few days before his 16th birthday.
