Three cheers for Goodman

Richard Goodman added another gold and a bronze to his medal haul after impressing in the track and field competition at Hadar Yosef on Wednesday night.

Having taken the 1,500 metres title 24 hours earlier, the JFS pupil, 16, came home first in the boys junior 3,000m in 9:03 and took the bronze in the 800 metres in 1:58.

The Barnet Shaftesbury Harrier runner was set to contest the 4x400m relay but withdrew through injury.

Josh Solomon replaced him and helped Team GB junior boys to a bronze to ensure that every GB athlete won a medal.

Jennifer Simmons broke the tape to land the gold in the junior girls 400m hurdles.

Rhianna Gurvitz scooped bronze in the 800m women's race.

Jo Ankier completed a memorable day for the athletics squad with bronze in the 5,000m.

She will also contest the half marathon on July 21.
