Thornes do the business

articlemain

Two strikes from Dan Lipman and a goal from John Lessem helped Glenthorne United clinch the Division Three title with a 3-1 victory over Real Life.

The east Londoners wrapped up the championship with a game to spare.

Player-manager Dan Lipman said: "We knew what we had to do and the boys were great. All the hard work has paid off. The result should have been more emphatic. It could have been five or six, had it not been for Life's keeper."

Redbridge C finished runners-up after thumping Faithfold C 4-1.

Division Four will be the last to be decided. Glenthorne's B team will attempt to wrestle top spot from current leaders Blizzard Storm. They take on Inter Borehamwood on May 15.
