Pinner JFC claimed an emphatic victory against bottom of the table Abbots Youth.

The Sky Blues fielded an understrength side - with only 10 player available - but they ran out worthy winners following a hat-trick from Ben Sugarman, with a brace from Jordan Cowan and one apiece from Matthew Pinhass and Zac Taibel.

Indeed, the score-line could have been more when Sugarman hit the underside of the crossbar with the Abbots keeper well beaten despite the goal not being given.

Cowan claimed possibly the most impressive of the tally when he rose to re-direct the ball with his head from a well-placed Pinhass corner.

The Sky Blues controlled the match from the off and they played some intelligent football creating and linking between each and every player. Recent weeks had certainly taught them what they needed to do.

The one error came midway through the first half with the score standing at 2-0 when the back line froze allowing the opposing striker to slip through to pull a goal back.

Man-of-the-match was awarded to Ben Sugarman, but also to his namesake Toby Sugarman who had an exceptional game in central midfield.
