David Stone conquered testing conditions to win the Barnet Schools under-13 Cross Country Championship.

Stone, 11, took the lead at the first marker, in a race run through snow and mud, and never looked back, coming home by 100m in the 2km race.

As one of the top six finishers, Stone will now go on to represent Barnet in the Middlesex Cross Country event.
