JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- DEAN NYMAN (Redbridge A) - Russell Goldstein was sent clear on an overlap and after sending over a delicious clipped cross, the ball was met perfectly by the onrushing Dean Nyman for an excellent flicked finish

- WILL UFLAND (NL Raiders B) - Nicky Woolf sliding in Ufland on the right-hand side of the box and he hammered a low shot back across the keeper and just inside the far post

- JOSH BARNETT - standing inside his own half, he spotted the keeper off his line and it bounced over the keeper into the top corner

- LIRON MANNIE (NL Raiders A) - a perfect counter-attack saw Jake Doffman clear a corner finding Matt Stock on the left. Stocky turned the advancing Anorthosis player and made a darting run down the left side. He passed in to Liron who smashed one in to the top corner from 25 yards

- JORDAN SHARIFIA (Temple Fortune) - an overhead kick from 20 yards has to be goal of the week - a contender for goal of the season, unbelievable effort

- JAMES MANDELL (L'Equipe) - capped off his hat-trick with a stunning 25-yard free-kick into the top corner of the net. Simply unstoppable

- ROB SAMUELSON (NL Raiders C) - a fine volley from just outside the box

- BENJI WEINBERGER (ML Lions B) - picking up the ball 30 yards out, he unleashed a rocket shot into the top corner past the Finchley goalkeeper

-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- SCOTT SHEAR (Redbridge JC B) - one-on-one with the Los Bloncos striker and made a great save

-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- SAM MARCHANT (Lions B) - "The lads have now set a new benchmark for the level of performance and they know what is required of them. I would say it was our most conniving performance of the season so far"

- JONO NESBITT (Hendon B) - "We've now won two and lost two in the league which is probably fair as we have turned up for two of the games and been away with the fairies for the other two. Lets just hope the fairies don't make a return this season"

- NICK GROSSE (Los Blancos) - "I am very upset with myself, I hate to let the team down, even more so now I am manager, but goalkeeping mistakes are always fatal - I still don't know why I picked that position!"

- NICK STERN (L'Equipe) - QUOTE 1 - "Let me also start by saying I was very impressed with Mill Hill Dons. They showed great fight, especially in the first half, are a really good bunch of lads and I hope their fortunes turn around quickly as I am sure they will"

- NICK STERN (L'Equipe) - QUOTE 2 - "Now what more can I say about my team on top of what has already been said. Four wins from four, eight more goals scored this weekend and a team that continues to enjoy playing football together, turning up week in, week out wanting to win, wanting to do their shirt proud and most importantly each and every one of them wants to do their jobs, win their battles an come together so that L'Equipe can win as a team"

- SAM ROSE (NL Raiders C) - "What was most pleasing was the attractive football we began to play in difficult conditions and the solidity with which the defence performed. Raiders are really starting to gel as a team and I think you can expect great things from us for the rest of the season"

- SAM RANK (Redbridge JC B) - "I must say, not getting onto the pitch till 10am, for a kick off for 10.15 is not always perfect"

LONDON FA SUNDAY CHALLENGE CUP

MAJESTIC MANNIE SENDS RAIDERS THROUGH
NORTH LONDON RAIDERS A 6 ANORTHOSIS 2
LIRON MANNIE maintained his imperious start to the season with a four-goal blitz from easing Raiders into the next round as they hit Anorthosis for six.

Further strikes from David Dinkin and Jordan Marks added the gloss as NLR marched into the next round.

NLR boss Dan Shafron told JC Sport: "Our performance today was once again excellent all round. We were up against a side we knew nothing about but we took the game to them and got the goals that our attacking play deserved.

"We got in to some great positions and when the chances game, we finished them off superbly. Liron and Stocky linked brilliantly for each of our four first half goals we played with confidence and urgency.

"We did gift them a goal after 20 seconds but credit to the boys because they showed great character to keep their heads, turn things back around quickly and then at that point, we went on to win the game comfortably."

I couldn’t have asked for a better start but our attention immediately turns to the cup game next week where we hope to keep the momentum up.

Dons boss Brandon Hamme told JC Sport: "We will improve as the weeks go on and I'm fully confident the results will start come. Fair play to L'Equipe, they played very well throughout, especially in the second half. Fully expecting them to be strongly challenging for promotion this season."
