-----------------------------------

GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- ZACK COLLINS (Oakwood A) - pure class from a brilliant, tricky winger. Brilliant Oakwood addition

- ZVI NOE (Real Hendon) – latched on to a clearance from a corner and smashed his shot into the top corner from the edge of the box

- JONTI AREMBAND (RC UK FC) – collected a defence-splitting ball from Leor Harel before beautifully dinking the ball over the goalkeeper

- JORDAN SHARIFIA (Temple Fortune) – one touch to set himself up and curl in a 30-yard screamer

- DANIEL SINCLAIR (Finchley City FC) - 20 yards out and bent an unstoppable strike into the top corner with his left foot

-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------

SAVE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- JORDAN DAVIDSON (Woodford Wanderers) – preserved a clean sheet with a match-winning save, tipping over a deflected effort

- JAKE DOFFMAN (NL Raiders A) - a wonderful late save from Sam Cantor’s free-kick

- MARK GLUCKSMAN (L'Equipe) - With L'Equipe holding on to a slender lead, Temple Fortune's talisman Aron Barnes was through on goal with the L'Equipe No. 1. Despite going to ground, Glucksman managed to steer the ball seemingly past the keeper, however somehow Glucksman managed to stick out his size 24 feet and tip the ball round the post. A save any Leeds legend would have been proud of

QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- SAM MARCHANT (ML Lions B) - "Bilbaum came to Rowley Lane clearly fired up and wanting to get some points on the board for the season having had a rough start, and they did exactly that"

- RIC BLANK (Oakwood A) - "The real coup for us that Dan Cohen had turned up to watch and Kristall had had the foresight to name him on the bench as our 16th man. We were so lucky to be able to call on such a great keeper 45 seconds into such a big game. So while we felt hard done by to be playing with 10, we could count our lucky stars that we weren’t hit with the double whammy of throwing an outfield player in net"

- DAN SHAFRON (NL Raiders A) - "Regarding the sending off, from where I was standing it didn’t seem much and having watched the video back, it was very unfortunate for the Oakwood goalkeeper. We had a similar situation a few weeks ago, almost an identical scenario with Jake but we appreciate the referee only has a split moment to make a decision with no assistance and their decision is final. These things happen and Oakwood dealt with it very well. They restructured, sat very deep with everyone behind the ball and to their credit defended excellently and made it tough for us to break them down"

- NICK STERN (L'Equipe) - "With only 11 players able to make it this week, and playing against a full-strength Temple Fortune, including the "absent Aron Barnes," who magically appeared, we put in a performance that I was so so proud of"

Oaks joint-manager Ric Blank told JC Sport: "Overall we’re obviously disappointed to drop two points in a game we felt so confident of winning. I’m certain Raiders will realise what that game would have been like 11 vs 11. But we will take the spirit shown in this game and do everything we can to go on a run now. Where it takes us, we will find out."

NLR boss Dan Shafron told JC Sport: "I think it was all about who got the first goal. They got it and just defended their lead resiliently. If we got it, I’m sure we would have gone on to win the game but it wasn’t to be."
