JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- RYAN COLE (Redbridge A) - a super free-kick against Woodford

- DANIEL GARFINKLE (Redbridge A) - a great solo effort in the derby win

- JAMIE JACKSON (ML Lions A) - won the ball on the halfway line with a crunching challenge. Drove forward through the Camden midfield, before unleashing a thunderous 25-yard strike, low and hard which flew into the bottoms corner of the net

- RICHARD FOGELMAN (Faithfold B) - ran the two centre backs inside out nutmegging them both before firing a lethal strike into the side-netting past the diving Raiders goalkeeper from outside the box

- MAX MARTIN (L'Equipe) - a ‘soft volley’ from 25 yards out. Barely had any back lift just stroked the ball into the net for his weekly goal

-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- NATI KIND (RC UK FC) - produced "a worldie" to preserve three points against FC Team B

- DAVID SIMNOCK (NL Raiders B) - pread himself wide to stop a header at point-blank range - a stunning save

-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - "We're very pleased to win what was an important match. Lions B are an excellent side and that's why I made the call to take advantage of the fixture list and use Dave Woolman today"

- RICHARD FOGELMAN (Faithfold B) - "I think a lot of their team were called Lisa as the ref had to deal with a lot of Mona's!"

- SEFTON MONK (Boca Jewniors) - "This victory means more than three points, it shows hard work dedication and behind-the-scenes work with organisational skills makes a difference. That win goes out to all those managers and chairman in Jewish football that fight week in week out all summer to keep their club and passion alive for yet another season"

- NICK GROSSE (Los Blancos) - "As I told the team, the only difference between victory and defeat was our confidence. Had we been on a winning streak, rather than a losing one, we would have won the match without doubt. Hopefully the lads will be able to keep their heads high and regain the confidence required to secure victory next week against a Faithfold side that is obviously scared of us. I spotted their manager and assistant manager on the sidelines scouting us in preparation for our encounter next Sunday. One of them was even questioning me about the identity of my players while I was operating between the sticks...who said Maccabi football wasn't important!"

- NICK STERN (L'Equipe) - "Credit to Mill Hill who never gave up and despite one terrible dive in the box which the ref correctly called right, they are a very good side with a long future in the league. I would strongly recommend them moving home pitch as Mill Hill Park should not be used as a Sunday morning pitch, especially when you have pace and good footballers in their team as Mill Hill do"

REDBRIDGE GO CLEAR AT THE TOP
WOODFORD WANDERERS 1 REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A 3
Strikes from Ryan Cole, Daniel Garfinkle and Dean Nyman took Redbridge three points clear at the top following a 3-1 derby victory over Woodford.

RJC boss Jon Jacobs told JC Sport: "We needed last week’s wake-up call against Oakwood B to stir them into action. Today, Woodford were no match for a rampant Redbridge with their keeper, Jordan Davidson keeping them in the game with several top notch saves."

Tom Alexander fired a late consolation for Woodford and manager Daryl Kay told JC Sport: "It was a tough game out there; Redbridge and Raiders are the two best teams we've played by far. We huffed and puffed our way through the game and our confidence is still high."

Frustrated Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport: "We came off the pitch today feeling that two points had been dropped. We led twice in the match only to be pegged back both times by a determined Raiders team but felt that in the latter stages of the match we had the better chances to clinch it."

NEW BOYS SPARKLE FOR TEAM
FC TEAM A 4 SPEC FC 1
James Stanley and Connor Perl scored on his FC Team debut as they became the latest side to beat SPEC FC.

Further strikes from Richard Salmon and James Korn ensured moved Team away from the relegation zone.

FC Team boss Mitch Young told JC Sport: "It was nice to get another comfortable win, we bossed the game and never really looked in danger aside from a couple of set-plays."

SPEC player-manager Ricky Lawrence told JC Sport: "After going 1-0 up it was a shame we couldn't hold the lead for longer. It was a decent game though and we look forward to facing Team again in the cup in a few weeks time."

WONDERFUL WOOLY CAGES LIONS
OAKWOOD B 2 MACCABI LONDON LIONS B 1
A deadly double from David Woolman saw Oakwood B stunned table-toppers Lions B into submission with an impressive victory in St. Albans.

Michael Kenley found the net for Lions.

Oaks manager Jason Stein told JC Sport: "I thought at times we were excellent today and defensively the back four did an unbelievable job."

Lions boss Sam Marchant told JC Sport: "Oakwood were extremely well organised and tough to break down. I can’t make excuses for today - we weren’t at the races, but having three boys (two in the starting line-up) not show up on the day with no notice causes major problems.”

SUPER SADE TURNS ON THE STYLE
FINCHLEY CITY FC 6 BRIXTON OLD BOYS 0
Goal king OLI SADE fired a treble as Finchley City registered their fourth and best victory of the season after hitting Brixton for six.

There were also goals for Shim Bensoor, Daniel Polak and Alon Pinhas as Finchley turned on the style.

Finchley boss Joel Holder told JC Sport: "It was a very professional performance from us again today and there were a lot of positives from the game. Our finishing over the last few weeks has been impressive whilst back-to-back clean sheets for the first time this season is also extremely encouraging."

JONAH HAS BAUMS JUMPING FOR JOY
LOS BLANCOS 1 ATHLETIC BILBAUM 2
Strikes from Sam Deaner and Jonah Gordon-Boyd helped Athletic Bilbaum record their first win of the season as they edged past fellow strugglers Los Blancos.

Elliot Moslawy had given Blancos a first-minute lead.

A Bilbaum spokesman told JC Sport: "It was not a vintage Baum display but our hard work and endeavour brought the victory. We hope to bring our good form to Oakwood next week."

Blancos boss Nick Grosse told JC Sport: "As I told the team, the only difference between victory and defeat was our confidence. Had we been on a winning streak, rather than a losing one, we would have won the match without doubt."

RUTHLESS ROBERTS PUTS RAIDERS TOP
NORTH LONDON RAIDERS B 5 HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB B 1
Two goals from new boy Jack Roberts enabled North London Raiders B to finish the weekend at the top of Division One following a five-star victory over Hendon B.

There were also goals for Jake Gilbert and Will Ufland in a match in which NLR dominated.

NLR joint-manager Zack Gothelf told JC Sport: "We know that we've got a big three games coming up against two title rivals and the chance to play a side from the division above and it was important that we picked up all three points today. More importantly was the manner of the victory, we're playing some seriously attractive football at the moment and we're getting the rewards, the players look confident and there's a great buzz around the team."

Hendon joint-manager Jono Nesbitt told JC Sport: "We can take some positives from the game; we did look to play football in stages and when we got the ball down and passed it around we did create openings, unfortunately they are a very well-drilled team, and know how to capitalise on defensive mistakes."

Faithfold joint-manager David Garson told JC Sport: "We played some good football today. We are undefeated in the league since September 25, that says a lot. We now go into games expecting to win as we are good enough to beat any team in this division."

NLR joint-boss David Domb told JC Sport: "We're delighted with how we twice managed to recover from a goal down, though disappointed that we found ourselves in that position in the first place. REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE C 2 TEMPLE FORTUNE 2
Redbridge C fought from two goals down to draw 2-2 against promotion rivals Temple Fortune in a four-goal thriller.

Adam Lenz and the in-form Jordan Sharifian had put Fortune in charge, but RJC hit back through Barry Green and Oli Hambling.

TFFC boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "We so nearly snatched all three points but Michael Goldberg had his free-kick superbly saved late on. Still, we avoided losing to a very good team so overall I've got to be happy with a point from a tough away game."
