Special Kaye teaches champions a lesson

Defending champions Brady Maccabi A suffered a shock first defeat of the season as they were thumped 4-0 by nearest rivals Glenthorne United A.

A hat-trick from Adam Kaye plus one from Paul Allen gave the Thornes a glimmer of hope as they moved to within six points of top spot in Division One.

North London Raiders completed comeback of the day after beating Scrabble in a five-goal thriller. Charlie Bernstein and Andy Miller put Scrabble in charge. Raiders hit back in style with three goals in a 25-minute spell from Ashley Davidson (2) and Kevin Lotzof.

Adam Lennard, Laurence Davis, Sid Shaw and Stuart Block were the marksmen as Glenthorne B moved top of Division Two following a 4-0 win over Clayhall Park Casuals. EDRS Stonegrove kept up their challenge with a 6-0 success over Glenthorne C. Phil Silver (2), Martin Seifert (2), Gary Shaw and Ian Leader eased them home.

Hendon Harriers ran in five second-half goals in a 5-1 demolition of Brady B. Andrew Cohen (3), Perry Somers and Simon Black were the goal men. Martin Schultz grabbed a consolation for Brady.
