South Manchester Sports Club 1st survived an almighty scare to claim their third consecutive league win of the season.

Leading 3-0 at the break, South allowed PWC to roar back to 3-3 before Adam Lavin’s last minute strike ensured victory.

South had begun the game in storming fashion with Adam Jackson’s double and a close-range strike from Ben Peppi appearing to kill off the opposition.

But a combination of sloppy defending and poor finishing allowed PWC to come back and score three times in quick succession.

That looked to have knocked the wind out of South’s sails, but last year’s champions refused to be denied.

And with just seconds left, Lavin grabbed possession before beating two defenders and lashing home a dramatic winner.
