South Manchester Sports Club under-11's sealed a league and cup double after coming from a goal down to beat Sale Cosmos at Trafford FC.

Having been confirmed league champions of the Timperley and District Junior League Division Four with an 11-0 demolition of Cosmos the previous week, South Manchester took the match into extra time following a last-ditch effort from Jamie Beer who netted his 30th goal of the season before Keyur Bandheri popped up with the winner. The South team, managed by Jeremy Lee and Jonathan Tuck, went on to win 2-1.

Joint-manager Jeremy Lee said: "I'm delighted with the boys' attitude, their grit and determination when needed, and some lovely skilful football."
