Soutar puts Redbridge into first final

articlemain

An extra-time strike from Maccabiah star David Soutar helped Redbridge A a place in their first-ever cup final as they beat North West Neasden A 2-1 in the semi-finals of the JC Cyril Anekstein Cup.

RJC's Dean Nyman and Matt Sofier had traded goals in normal time.

Redbridge will meet Hendon United Sports Club A in the final at Wingate & Finchley on April 17 after the Reds thumped Division Four minnows Los Blancos 4-1.

Hendon stormed into a 3-0 lead inside the opening 15 minutes courtesy of strikes from Greg Corin, Paul Bentley and Josh Bentley. Dany Kon pulled one back but supersub Yishai Last sealed Hendon's place in the final.

Second-half efforts from Joe Tankel and Igal Yahya earned North London Raiders A victory over Southgate Harmen A in the MSFL Premier Division.
