Sorry SPEC hang their heads

Ricky Lawrence says SPEC FC embarrassed themselves after having four players sent off in the Division Two clash against promotion rivals North West Neasden B.

Referee Aaron Djanogly dismissed James Lesner, Ashley Burns, Nick Berman and Lawrence in a high-octane affair that finished 2-2.

"We disgraced and embarrassed ourselves as a club," said Lawrence. "We’ve gone from picking up one red card in two seasons to picking up four in one game. We pride ourselves on not just being a well run club on the pitch but off of it too.

"Next Sunday we, as a club, are volunteering at a Jewish Care home which is also the charity we have raised money for throughout this season.

"These are the sort of things we at SPEC FC want to be known for and not for shameful behaviour."

SPEC’s goals came through Dave Newman and Elliot Wallis, with Adam Levene and James Abrams on target for Neasden.

Lawrence said: "We offer an unreserved apology to the league and to the referee and will ensure our behaviour is impeccable every Sunday from now on."
