The Israeli is, however, unlikely to compete at this summer's Olympics with the competition restricted to one representative from each country.

World champion Lee Korsitz, who is recovering from surgery, sat out the event in Madeira, but hopes to compete in the World Championships in Cadiz at the end of the month.

Nimrod Mashiah was fourth in the men's event, while Olympic bronze medallist Shahar Zubari was disqualified for using damaged equipment.
