MPL U11s: HIS White B vs Alyth B

Sunday saw a scorcher of a day and a scorcher of a result for HIS WHITE B who played their first game of the season with a brand new line up at West Hendon Playing Fields.

The boys are now playing half an hour each way on a full size pitch, so the transition was always going to be interesting to watch.

Right from the start the crowd were entertained with some dazzling skills and neat passing by both teams.

HIS White could have opened their account scoring after just nine minutes when their in-form striker Raffy Zysblatt attempted to chip the ball over the Alyth keeper, who reacted well and made an easy save.

Alyth B eventually broke the deadlock with a craftily worked goal at the mid way point of the first half.

Refusing to let their heads go down, HIS White responded immediately with renewed passion. Chief tormentors were Ari Goodman and David Goodkin on the wings who linked up well with the front two and always looked a threat.

The deadlock was broken on the stroke of halftime with a volley into the roof of the net by Doron "Pavlyuchenko" Shooter.

This settled nerves for the visitors as they contemplated a difficult second half.

After the break the back four for HIS White held their ground with Bertie Green heroically shutting out any Alyth advance, and Avi Van Messel, Daniel Richman and Elijah Goldin holding the back line like true professionals. Aron Goldin wowed the crowd with some delightful runs, using his options carefully, and Areyeh Klien almost made an impact on 42 minutes when he broke clear of the Alyth defence drilling a low shot inches past the post.

HIS White extended their lead further through Shooter bagging his second from 20 yards out, followed by Raffy Zysblatt finishing off a superb solo effort to put the game beyond doubt.

Shooter was not content at 3-1 and completed his debut hat-trick sending the crowd into a euphoric frenzy. At 4-1 there was no way back for the brave Alyth B team who pushed hard and should be encouraged with a fine performance.

An encouraging start for HIS White, players to watch as the season develops include Aaron Rosenberg who kept a clean sheet in goal for the second half, after an impressive spell up front in the first, Raphael Rosenfelder who was a dominating figure in midfield, and Avichai Medalie Bacon and Adam Goldberg who both worked hard in midfield creating chances with their quick thinking and clever passing.

The White Army march into next Sunday's fixture with a new belief that, with more performances like today, the title is within reach
