Haroldeans were in seventh heaven to underline they are the team to beat.

The Merseysiders shrugged off Bobby Fishel's early red card to crush Maccabi Manchester Yellow and make it seven straight wins.

Mike Bloomberg's table-toppers maintained their march at the top thanks to a brace from Adam Shiffman.

Shiffman - who looks certain to do battle with Prestfield's Jonny Franks for the Golden Boot - ensured Haroldeans cruised home again.

It appeared an uphill task when Fishel saw red for violent conduct with just 10 minutes on the clock.

But despite their numerical advantage, Maccabi Yellows were still put to the sword as Max Barnett, Paul Harris and Alistair Goldsmith (pen) weighed in.

The visitors hit back via Ben Gould, leaving Haroldeans boss Mike Bloomberg purring at his side's latest win.

He said: "Considering what we had to deal with, it was our best display of the season.

"To play 80 minutes with 10 men is no easy task. But it's testament to our fitness, organisation and quality that we won so comfortably.

"We had to battle but we showed great team spirit and stuck together."
