articlemain

Led by the new management team of Sam Castle and Joel Alterman, and assisted by first team coach Ben Adaki who has retired from playing, Southgate Harmen will offer five-star entertainment week in, week out.

Competitions entered: We have entered the three traditional competitions this season – MSFL Division One, the Anekstein Cup and the Morrison

New signings: We have had busy summer so far, with our in-house agent Jordan Segal still working on a couple of last minute bargains. Our new signings are as follows:

• Ben Weinberg – from Brixton Old Boys
• Jordan Segal – Brixton Old Boys
• Mitch Green – Free Agent
• Ben Kaye – Free Agent
• Joseph Marsh – Free Agent
• Ricky Rinder – UJIA
• Jordan Grant – Norstar
• Adam Simon – NWN B

Which of the signings excites you most? All boys we have signed will improve the squad. The ones to watch are Ben Weinberg and Joseph Marsh. The addition of Mitch Green and Jordan Segal will make the back line water-tight. With the flair of Ricky Rinder and Jordan Grant, they will be giving sleepless Saturday nights to the best defensives in the league

Have any players left? Most of the Harmen old guard have stayed on board, and backing the new management team 100 per cent. The only big exit has been Ben Rosenblatt who has left the club after two years to join Faithfold. He will be missed by the whole squad and we look forward to playing against him

What are your hopes for the season? Our minimum expectation is promotion to the Premier Division. We are also looking to have a good cup run in one of the competitions. The league title will be the cherry on top

Which players would you describe as the 'ones to watch' and why?

Ben Weinberg – midfield maestro who will keep the team ticking over, he is our Scotty Parker but can pass the ball and a threat going forward

Ricky Rinder and Jordan Grant – sweet left and right feet and can create something out of nothing

Marc Cohen – with a new born baby, he is awake at 3.30am on match days but still turns up on a Sunday and puts in an unbelievable shift

Adam Velleman – one of the golden oldies alongside Lee Greenfield, James Sandler, Brad Fox and Adam Osper. We call him the 'baby face destroyer' and will be a threat going forward from left-back

Samuel Castle - rugby player, turned the league best keeper two years ago, turned CB, turned CM, turner striker. He is the versatility in a nutshell. He will be looking to be start this season as he did last season banging in goals alongside is partner in crime, Lee Greenfield. His brother, James Castle, will be a brick wall in goal fresh from his exploits in Israel were he competed for team GB at the Maccabiah Games

Which teams do you consider your strongest challengers? Brixton Old Boys, Brady and Shirley Park. There is family bragging rights up for grabs against Brady B so both league games will be crackers to watch and expect the cameras to be there!

Captain: The armband's this season will be worn by Jonathan Morris - the rock in the Harmen dressing room and our longest-serving player. He will keep the team going through our toughest moments in the season and will chip in with a goal or two from set-pieces

Team sponsor: We would like to thank London and District Housing for their support this season and have commitment for a further two years

London & District Housing Ltd manage their own significant portfolio of residential and commercial property across London, the home counties and the rest of the United Kingdom. Primarily, the portfolio is made-up of flats and apartments, individual dwellings, retail units and serviced or multi-occupation business premises.

Home ground: We have left Ashmole this season after 10 years and look forward to playing at our new home pitch at Chase Lodge, Mill Hill. We will be looking to make this into a fortress, were away teams will be scared to come and play

What will your team bring to the league this season? This season the Harmen team will bring passion, dedication, flair and sheer grit and determination to ever game they play. They will definitely be a team to keep an eye on
