Season 2013/14 preview: FC Team C

articlemain

Michael Myers and Ben Gilbey are looking to steer Team to back-to-back promotions

Competitions entered: MSFL Division 2, Cyril Ankestein, Peter Morrison

New signings: We have bolstered our squad considerably. James Joseph, Matthew Cohen, Jeremy Julius and Andrew Hurwitz are our new additions. Max Worth was injured in pre-season last year and was out for a while so he is also pretty much a new signing

Which of the signings excites you most? They all excite me! I have skill and game winners in the shape of Joseph and Julius; hard attritional players in the form of Hurwitz and Cohen, and then a mixture of the two from Worths

Have any players left? Unfortunately we have had three players leave - Daniel Rothman had to end his Team career due to focus on his own career, veteran Gary Hill has a dodgy knee and Matt Sheldon is looking to focus on other sports. All will be missed

Hopes for the season: If I am honest, we are here to win it. We have a squad capable of winning and the boys are hungry. If you’re not first, you’re last

Which players would you describe as the 'ones to watch' and why? Very difficult to single out individual players, the two David Cohens are a major threat as seen by last season. The new players mentioned above our all adding value to the team. Our nippy wingers, Cooper and Aminoff, were brilliant last season. Our back four have really solidified and we have some really strong players at the back

Main rivals: Oakwood - we are still infuriated about last season - and we are seeking revenge. Expect those two encounters to be fiery!

Captain: Jamie Breslaw – he knows the game and from CB and is a commanding figure who helps out the other players around him considerably.

Sponsor: Guardian Inheritance

Home ground: Old Camdenians, Burtonhole Lane

What will your team bring to the league this season? We will play the best football. My co-manager Ben Gilbey, is an excellent coach and trainer. We have already seen from our pre-season the effects of training and our style of play, a fluid passing style, combined with the individual qualities of our attacking players makes us the team to watch in this league
