Ruthless Flixton back with a bang

articlemain

Stuart Delmonte believes his AFC Flixton side have rediscovered their shooting boots after putting rivals South Manchester Sports 1st to the sword 5-1 in the Accountants League Premier Division.

Delmonte’s men trailed to Adam Lavin’s first-half penalty before earning the comeback win.

South Manchester were put to the sword after goals from Richard Walker, Michael Sacks, Yonni Green and Michael Warwick.

Delmonte said: "We were clinical and that has not always been the case this season. Long may that continue because we need to keep winning to keep the pressure on Maccabi Manchester 1st.

"We controlled the game but we reaped the rewards for changing our formation at half-time. That’s when we got our goals to go with our performance."
