Revenge is sweet for Neasden A

Former cup winners Neasden A powered past Lions A at Rowley Lane, exacting revenge on the team who beat them 6-5 in the league last week.

But they did it the hard way after keeper Max Shields was sent off for stamping on Lions joint-player-manager Josh Newman early in the game.

Lee Cash (2), Danny Daggers, Ben Ellis and Paul Haik completing the rout for Neasden.

Aviel Schwarz grabbed a consolation for the Lions with his second goal against Neasden in a week.

Neasden joint-manager Darren Yarlett told JC Sport: "Today was an unbelivable performance - 10 men for 85 minutes and to dominate a game in the way we did shows true guts.

"We never looked in trouble and scored five goals at the right time. The football we played today was a joy to watch and some stand out displays from Jake Gottlieb, Bradley Sharp, Jonny Haik and Ben Ellis deserve special mention.

"Lee Cash scored another fantastic goal. I dont know where he keeps pulling them from but its something different every week. Eleven goals in five games is some record.

"Today was about payback and that is what happened."

Lions joint-manager Josh Newman told JC Sport: "Neasden were much the better side and thoroughly deserved their victory.

"I thought they were excellent today and full credit to Lee and Darren. We wish them well for the rest of the competition."
