Rees: Look out for Israel

New Manchester City youth coach Mark Reece says he is surprised there are not more Israeli footballers plying their trade in England.

Rees recently visited Israel as a guest of ex-Premier League star Eyal Berkovic and was impressed by the level of football and infrastructure.

"It was a fantastic trip," said Reece following his first trip to the region. "I went to Haifa, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and it was a great opportunity to see how the clubs train. The facilities are fantastic.

"There are some very talented young players in Israel. They are hungry and driven and I’m looking forward to returning for the Euro under-21 Championship finals this summer."
