Redbridge JC accept Peter Morrison punishment

articlemain

Redbridge Jewish Care (RJC) have decided against appealing the National Football League’s decision to throw them out of this season's Peter Morrison Trophy.

As reported, the club were found guilty of fielding an ineligible player in last month's quarter-final victory over Hendon United Sports Club A.

A statement from the management committee of RJC read: "We have decided not to appeal the original decision of the Peter Morrison Committee. We still dispute their findings, particularly after doing our own internal investigation, but do not want to drag the good name of Maccabi through a protracted appeal at this stage."

Hendon have been reinstalled into the competition. They will play Hyde Park Rovers on March 18. The winner meets Brady Maccabi A in the semi-finals.
