Harry Roach was the star of the show as Heaton Park Rovers cruised past Oakhill Lions in the Peter Morrison Trophy.

Roach netted a brace and created two others as Jonathan Franks and Richard Myers added the gloss.

HPR boss David Seligman paid tribute to striker Roach following his man-of-the-match showing.

"It was a really comfortable win and we never looked troubled," said Seligman.

"We played well and our goalkeeper did not have a meaningful save to make.

"Harry caused problems for Oakhill all game. He has a real eye for goal and sees things others do not."
