David Domb says NLR C have sent out a title warning following a ruthless 5-0 win over promotion rivals AC Whetstone.
Standing in for Zack Gothelf, Domb was delighted as L'Orange pulled the Whetstone youngster apart in a game they led 4-0 after 30 minutes.
Right-backDAN TANNENBAUM fired a treble to boost their promotion hopes, with the others coming through Jake Yudelowitz, Will Ufland and Oli Nathan.
"It was one of those days where everything just seemed to click into gear," Domb told JC Sport. "We know what Whetstone bring and they could spring a surprise, but we played with great discipline and showed some real class on the break."
"We knew Whetstone would be well organised, and we had to find a way to break that down. On the break, we managed to find room and managed to score some very good goals in the process. It was a wonderful team performance, and we continue to build week on week.
"We got at them straight from the start, and found ourselves 4-0 up after half an hour. We showed a different side to our game in the second half as they searched for a way back into the game, and defended superbly.
"We picked up an important three points to keep up the pressure on the teams around us. We've put ourselves in a good position to achieve our objectives for this season.
"Whetstone have a good group of players and a good manager. No doubt in my mind they will bounce back from this and have a strong first season in men's football."
AC Whetstone joint-manager Clive Nathan was lift to pick up the pieces after his colts suffered their heaviest defeat since joining the league.
He told JC Sport: "Despite our heaviest defeat, I remain very proud of the boys. We didn't do ourselves justice for a 30-minute period in the first half and let in five goals in that time.
"I asked the boys at half-time if anyone wanted to come off because they had given up. Not one put their hand up and they said they wanted to win the second half. It's easy being a team when you are winning, but harder to stay together in defeat. There was no arguing and no heads went down which is a credit to the youngest team in the league.
"When you fall off your bike, you can either give up or get back on and try again. It's Oakwood A in the cup next time out so we hope to have Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish fit for that one!"
