Pinner youngsters up for skills crash course

articlemain

Pinner JFC will host two skill-based open days as part of their ongoing Player Development Programme.

Based on the newly introduced FA Skills Programme, the scheme will be run by specialist coaches from the Football Association and is part of a new initiative that is being co-ordinated by The FA, funded by Tesco and the National Sports Foundation.

The programme is designed to give children top-quality skills coaching to raise technical standards within the five to 11-year-old age group — ages when ball skills are ingrained.

The link to the FA Skills Programme is only available to grassroots clubs that hold the Charter Standard accreditation, of which Pinner is one of only two Jewish clubs, thereby providing a rare opportunity.

The sessions are scheduled for April 9 and 16 at Pinner’s home ground in Harrow Weald. For details, contact Stuart Grabski on 07967 092868 or TheGrabskiKrew@aol.com. Pre-register at www.pinnerjfc.co.uk
