Peer reaches Hobart final

Shahar Peer warmed up for next week’s Australian Open grand slam by reached the final of the Hobart International.

Peer, 22, dismantled Sar Errani 6-2, 6-0 in 78 minutes in the semi-finals to reach her seventh WTA final.

The Israeli has started 2010 in excellent form, winning seven out of eight matches.

She will be seeded 29 in the Australian Open and plays Lucie Safarova (65) of the Czech Republic in the first round.

In the men’s singles, Dudi Sela will play one of the qualifiers.
