Olympic Games round-up: July 28

Danny Caro rounds-up the latest action from the 2012 Olympic Games.

BADMINTON
Israel's Misha Zilberman went down in straight sets in his opening match in the badminton competition at the 2012 London Olympics.

Zilberman, 23, was beaten 21-13, 21-12 by Jan Jorgensen of Denmark in the Group One match in the men's singles.

GYMNASTICS
Alex Shalitov finished in 12th place with a score of in the Individual All-Round competition. The Israeli finished with a points tally of 89.032.

JUDO
Artiom Arshansky moved into the last 16 after beating Jeroen Mooren of Holland in the Men's 60kg competition.

SWIMMING
There was disappointment for Israel in the pool as Gal Nevo, Amit Ivri and Omri Ganie failed to come through their respective heats at the Aquatics Centre.

Nevo finished third in Heat 3 of the Men's 400m Individual Medley in a time of 4:14:77. He said: "The atmosphere was incredible and I put in a decent performance, but I was hoping for more."

Ganiel trailed home in joint-sixth in the Men's 100m Breaststroke. He finished in a time of 1:02:07.

European Championships silver medalist Ivri finished seventh in a time of 58:78 in the Women's 100m Butterfly. She said: "I hope to do better in the 200."
