articlemain

The Olim League Representative team claimed the inaugural Pesach Cup after beating a travelling team from England 3-2 at the Wingate stadium in Netanya.

A tightly fought game saw the visitors take an early league through set-piece expert David Marcus with a superb left footed free kick

Managed by Yoni Sidi and David Bernstein, the home team replied on the half hour and they stepped up a gear in the second half to lead 3-1 through great work from Brazilian striker Essie.

A late goal from Rob Hershkorn set up a grandstand finish as the hosts survived a late onslaught to win the cup.
