Olim League review

There were wins for Modiin and Jaffa in the final round of Olim League matches in 2013, while Aviv City and Jerusalem shared the points after a 10-goal thriller.

    RAANANA 2 MODIIN 3

Modiin maintained their title challenge with a nail-biting 3-2 victory over Raanana thanks to strikes from Moshe Lianido, TJ and Yoni Reiner.

Aviad Ben Meir and Nathan Ben Ari registered for Modiin.

Modiin co-manager's Jamie Lazarus and David Bruce were ecstatic with their teams performance. "We had a few new players tonight and they slotted in just perfectly into our system and style of play" said Bruce.

Lazarus added: " This is a massive result for the lads. Raanana have a great team, but we showed amazing character to hold on for the victory."

    JERUSALEM 5 AVIV CITY 5
A 45-yard thunder-bolt from Moishe Lewis earned Jerusalem a point in a 10-goal thriller against Aviv City.

Jerusalem were gited the lead when David Raeber fumbled a cross from Peter Emola into his own net.

City levelled minutes later when Lewis rifled his shot past Rob Bradman.

Jerusalem's Amit Dinowitz was then denied by the woodwork and City responded, with the inspirational Emola powering home a superb free-kick.

City went 3-1 up on 56 minutes when Suma found the net but Jerusalem rallied and Akiva Zniemer pulled them back to within a goal. Suma responds instantly - scoring City's fourth - but a strike from Zac Lewis kept Jerusalem in contention.

Aviv look to have finally put this game to bed as Sagi Meged lobs David Preston from 40 yards, but there was to be a final twist as Jerusalem struck twice in the last couple of minutes, with the industrious Lewis bagging a brace.

Jerusalem: David Raeber, David Preston, Gav Krieger, Dan Kosky, Yoel Finches Gav Cohen, Akiva Zniemer, Daniel Goodman, Dan Cohen, Moishe Lewis, Amit Dinowitz. Subs: Yigael Grayeff, Lollu Hibbert, Zac Lewis
