Oliel books quarter-final slot at Australian Open

Yshai Oliel cruised into the quarter-finals of the Australian Open following a near flawless exhibition of tennis in Melbourne.

Oliel, 17, outclassed Alexandre Rotsaert of the US 6-0 6-0 in the third round of the Australian Open Juniors Boys competition to set up a quarter finals encounter with Menelaos Efstathious of Cyprus.

Oliel, seeded fourth in Melbourne, has yet to lose a set, having beaten Francesco Forti of Italy 6-3 6-1 in the first round and Australia's Matthew Dellavadova 6-2 6-1 in the second round.

If he reaches the semi finals he will face top seed Yibing Wu of China. In the doubles, however, Oliel and his Belgian partner Zizou Bergs were beaten in the second round.
