Oakhill pay the penalty in cup defeat

Republic of Mancunia will meet Broughton Park in the Tony Cohen Memorial Cup final after beating Oakhill Lions on penalties.

The teams were locked 2-2 after extra time in the semi-final. Darren Loofe and Paul Basger netted for Republic. Oakhill's goals came via Daniel Cohen and an own goal.

South Manchester Maccabi 2nd's won the top of the table clash in the Joan Collins Premier Division, beating Haroldeans 2-1.

Howard Hymanson and Simon Mattison struck for South. Bobby Abrams replied. South lie two points ahead of the Merseysiders who have a game in hand.

The win followed a 5-1 success over Oakhill Lions where Ben Tyer (3), Gary Freeman and Hymanson found the net.

Manchester Maccabi 3rd thumped Sporting JLGB 12-2 with goals from Daniel Klapish (3), Jacob Richler-Kleiman (3), Marc Sheldon, Johnny Lapidus (2), Louis Hibbert and Greg Louca. Richler-Kleiman scored another hat-trick in the 5-1 mauling of Crumpsall.
