Josh Daniels claims this shock stalemate proves his rock-bottom side are in a false position.

Oakhill's revival continued after holding runaway leaders Maccabi Manchester 2nds to a goalless draw, much to the delight of their player-manager.

In a game of few chances, home goalkeeper Arthur Caplan pulled off a fine second-half save to earn the hosts a point.

It was the least the young side deserved and Daniels claims the only way is up.

He said: "We have been improving with every game. We are now starting to get the results our displays have been warranting.

"It was always going to take time to bed in. We have a few new players and we are also playing catch-up with the fixtures.

"But this shows we should be higher in the table. They were the happier of the two teams to hear the final whistle."

Maccabi Manchester 2nds chief Irving Modlin hopes this draw acts as a wake-up call for his high-flying players.

He said: "It was disappointing. We had the chances to be out of sight in the first-half and their goalkeeper was outstanding.

"But we seemed to lose our way as the game wore on. This result is what we might have needed to realise we cannot take anyone for granted."
