Leeds Maccabi 1st suffered penalty heartbreak as they crashed out of the Sunday Alliance Premier Division Cup at the semi-final stage.

Oshri Amar missed the crucial kick as Leeds suffered an agonising 10-9 defeat from the spot following a pulsating 1-1 draw against league champions New Unicorn.

After taking the lead through an own-goal, Leeds were pegged back by a dubious strike which had originally been ruled out for offside.

In the end it went to penalties and with every outfield player from New Unicorn having scored from 12-yards, Amar’s effort was saved to leave Leeds’ dreams in tatters.

Elsewhere, Republic of Flixton booked their place in the final of the Harold Feldman Trophy with a 7-0 thrashing of Leeds Maccabi 2nd.

Steve Garman scored twice, while Daniel Garman, Jonny Alexander, Adam Wilson, Andy Rosenberg and Mark Bell were also on target.

Republic will face Haroldeans in the final at Boundary Park on Sunday 28th April after the Merseysiders saw off Manchester Maccabi 3rd 4-2.

A Jamie Harris hat-trick and Adam Shiffman strike did the trick for Haroldeans with Jack Myers and Daniel Harris getting the goals for Maccabi 3rd.

In the MJSL, Manchester Maccabi 2nd eased past Broughton 4-0 thanks to goals from Marc Sheldon, Alex Lee, Ben Gould and Jake Kelly.

Crumpsall recorded an impressive 5-3 win at FC Cosmos with Michael Freedman’s double leading the way.

Further strikes from Michael Gastwirth, Benji Silverman and Shaya Halpern sealed the points from second-bottom Crumpsall.

Bradley Levy, Gabriel Silva and Alex Glassman got the goals for Cosmos.
