SUNDAY LONDON FA CUP
Brixton Old Boys A 1 Lord Stanley 5

Brixton's Sunday LFA run came to an end as they were beaten 5-1 by Lord Stanley.

Alon Hershkorn had put Brixton ahead after 15 minutes.

Brixton manager John Nitka told JC Sport: "Being a referee myself, I know how hard it is to officiate in these sort of games and although I do not make a habit of criticising fellow referees, I believe this was a game that if the referee knew what he was doing it would have been much closer.

"Some decisions were ridiculous and the yellow and red cards were laughable. After taking the lead, the tide turned with a tirade of yellow cards to my players for trying to talk to the referee. He didn't want to know. He wanted to make it his game!

2-1 down at half time, we had a stonewall penalty turned down 10 minutes into the second half. Then the ref decided to show more yellow cards to both teams and eventually the red to our players and we ended up with nine men on the field. It killed the game.

"Lord Stanley are a good team and sometimes outplayed us but we are a team that never gives up.

"Full credit to our goalkeeper Jake Doffman, who in my opinion was man of the match. He pulled off some brilliant saves.

"We have had a great run in this cup and now must concentrate on the league as we have only played six games.

"My main aim - as I said at the beginning of the season - is to get promoted to the Premier Division."
