Nitka new manager of Brixton Old Boys

articlemain

John Nitka is the new manager of Brixton Old Boys.

As reported, Nitka resigned from Premier Division strugglers South Manx last week, a year after leading them to the Division One title.

He takes over a team lying at the foot of the first division.

Nitka said: "I had a few calls from various clubs but in the end I chose Brixton. Why? Because it's a challenge. I relish challenges. At 55 years, it's the oldest club in the league.

"I shall be looking to bring in some new players but if we go down, we go down but that won't put me off as we will come straight back up. Mark my words."

Brixton chairman Robert Silverman said: "We wish John every success in his new position and look forward to him playing a key role in returning this historic club to it's former level of achievement."

Life under Nitka starts with a double-header against Red Sea.
